When Peppermint Larry falls ill, Flapjack and K'nuckles are forced to go fishing for food.
Plot[]
The episode starts out with K'nuckles and Flapjack banging at the Candy Barrel door begging for candy. When Peppermint Larry looks out the curtains, Flapjack and K'nuckles find out that Larry, along with his Candy Wife, are sick with the flu. Flapjack's stomach grumbles and Bubbie comes up from the water; she tells Flapjack to eat vegetables instead of candy to satisfy their hunger, pointing to a pile of seaweed next to the two. When Flapjack goes to eat the seaweed, K'nuckles kicks it from his hands and tells Flapjack that the only thing an adventurer's body will accept is candy. A fisherman interrupts the two's conversation by announcing how full he is, capturing the attention of Flapjack, K'nuckles, and Bubbie. The fisherman tells them that he's been eating so much fish and says that there might even be fish from Candied Island. Astounded with this, Flapjack and K'nuckles go out to sea to catch some fish.
Out in the water, Flapjack asks K'nuckles various questions, K'nuckles is bothered by this and tells Flapjack to get away from him and be quiet. A fish suddenly bites onto Flapjack's bait and the two examine the fish thinking it's made of candy. Trying to figure out how to get the candy out of the fish, Flapjack and K'nuckles watch how the fishermen prepare the fish. Flapjack tries to pull the fish's skin off and pulling it's fins, but it doesn't work. K'nuckles tells him to stick his hand in it to get the candy out. When he does this, the fish starts talking to Flapjack and changes Flapjack's mind about getting candy out of the fish. It tells Flapjack to throw it back into the ocean and Flapjack obliges, but the fish bites back on the bait.
K'nuckles gets the fish out of the water and Flapjack tries to tell K'nuckles that the fish is alive, but he doesn't listen until the fish talks to him and asks him what he's ever done to K'nuckles. Multiple fish pop out of the water and Flapjack tells shocked K'nuckles that they've got to help the fish. Flapjack and K'nuckles go back to Bubbie and store the fish inside of her, and Flapjack eats the seaweed instead of the fish. K'nuckles leaves to find food he likes and Bubbie ends up eating all the fish inside of her. Flapjack is mortified by this but Bubbie tells him that she thought they were vegetables.
