Off With His Hat is the first half of the 4th episode in the second season of The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, following "K'nuckles and His Hilarious Problem."
Synopsis[]
K'nuckles and Flapjack must track down K'nuckles' missing hat on an island of monkeys.
Plot[]
The episode starts off with Flapjack and K'nuckles swimming on a secret swimming hole when they see a chimpanzee named Cameron, who steals K'nuckles' captain hat. Flapjack tells K'nuckles that he will get him a new hat, but K'nuckles disagrees as the hat is irreplaceable. Flapjack and K'nuckles search for Cameron. K'nuckles tries to climb up the vine but gets himself tied up and is attacked by Cameron, Flapjack takes the chance to stealthily retrieve the hat.
The duo successfully get the hat back, but Cameron goes mad and calls out the other chimps and bring the duo to the village. Flapjack and K'nuckles think they are going to be sacrificed until they are interrupted a mysterious woman who introduces herself as Matthew Proctor. She falls in love with K'nuckles, but he is desperate for help and ask her about the hat. Dr. Proctor agrees and helps K'nuckles and Flapjack take them to the "sacred place".
Upon arriving, the sacred place turns out to be a volcano. Dr. Proctor approaches the supreme leader and tells him that K'nuckles wants his hat back. However, the supreme leader says that K'nuckles must walk across the "Vine Of Death", a vine that is suspended over an active volcano to get his hat back.
When K'nuckles eventually passes the challenge, Flapjack lets out a cry which leads to the chimps going out of control. Dr. Proctor gets mad about it as all her years of training the chimps has been ruined and gets her revenge by telling the supreme leader to keep the hat. K'nuckles avoids her from doing so as he throws her into the volcano but lands safety on a slab and is shot out all the way to another island as the volcano erupts.
The supreme leader verbally thanks Flapjack and K'nuckles, revealing that he and the rest of the chimpanzees can talk just fine, they just didn't like doing it around Dr. Proctor, as they found her to be very annoying (which K'nuckles agrees with) -- Cameron also reveals that his real name is actually George. The Supreme Leader returns the captain's hat back to him and joyously declares to the rest of the chimpanzees that "their eight year nightmare is finally over!"
Meanwhile, Matthew Proctor is then seen landing onto another island and meets the buffalos, asking what their names are.

Notes[]
- This was more similar to the Penguins of Madagascar episode, Crown Fools. Both King Julien and K'nuckles lose their hats. It also tells about "Beat the king, get the crown" challenge.
- We learn that K'nuckles got his adventure hat when he was younger.
